Launched at Government House Melbourne in February 2006, Greatconnections was founded by Lynne Landy, the wife of the former Governor John Landy, with the purpose of creating and nurturing a new team of volunteers amongst the more skilled, experienced mature members of the community whose contribution to the Not-for-Profit sector.
In 2009, Greatconnections’ cadre over 190 skilled volunteers and contributed services valued at an estimated $2 million to nearly 100 Not-for-Profit organisations.
In 2009, the Greatconnections Board appointed an inaugural CEO, Dr Gael Jennings, to move Greatconnections from start-up to sustainable.
With the recent success in securing operational funds for 2010 – 2012, Greatconnections is well on the way to becoming Australia’s leading Not-for-Profit broker.
